If you’ve read any of my books, you know I like boys (and girls) who can hold their own in a fight.

These are the kinds of moves I research for my characters. They’re not always pretty, but they’re pretty darn effective. Hopefully you’ll find them interesting – and useful – too!

I’m a big believer that every woman should know a few basic self-defense moves; moves she is familiar with, that she can fall back on when tension is high and the adrenaline starts pumping.

Here’s one move to add to your arsenal:
